Jaime “Jimmy” Gaviria was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1963 and began playing golf as a young boy. He went on to study law at the University of La Sabana in Bogotá and finished his studies in 1989. He thereafter taught litigation for more than four years at the University, and worked as a litigating attorney for 15 years at the firm he founded.
He arrived to Florida in 2003 and re-dedicated himself solely to the study of golf . In 2004 he earned his golf teaching certification at the United States Golf Teacher Federation (USGTF) in Naples, Florida, and started work as a golf teacher at Nova College and Tequesta Trace Community School.
His natural ability to teach, led him to invent the SDF, (or STRAIGHT, DRAW, FADE), training aid. He has used the SDF training aid with his private students with highly successful results. Now the SDF GOLF training aid is being made available to the general public. SDF GOLF will teach students the secret of the game which is every golfer's dream…hitting the ball straight!! We believe that there is no more affordable or simple method for learning the wonderful game of golf than the SDF. Enjoy! |
